  • On Check-In all source code from root level is requested. If you have a lot of source code in repository, this means GET operations will be heavy.
  • Exception: The directory name C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Team Foundation\1.0\Cache is invalid.
    • If this exception is received, fix it by giving either ASPNET (WIndows XP) or IIS_WPG (Windows 2003) read and write permission on the Cache folder.
  • Exception: Access is denied. after installation.
    • This can occur if the virtual directory is configured without integrated security turned on and basic authentication enabled. Fix this issue by disabling basic authentication and enable Integrated Windows authentication.

    • Due to a bug in TFS (fixed in SP1) you might sometime get exception the first time you expand the changeset to view work items related to the check in. This happens on the Changes page or the build details page. If you get this error, just close the node and open again.
